Learning Support Assistant

Required as soon as possible

PASS 3, point 12- 15 (£16,123 to £17,072 pro rata), 17.5 hours per week (tbc), term time only job share.

This post has a 5 day on, 5 day off working pattern.

2 term fixed term contract in the first instance

The successful candidate will:

Have a passion for working with children in the early years and be physically able to support them in the indoor and outdoor learning environment.

Have good organisational and interpersonal skills and to use own initiative.

Have an understanding of the unique character of our school and understand the unique character of Catholic schools.

Be committed to safeguarding children and undergo appropriate training in this area.

Previous experience as a teaching/ learning support assistant is preferable though not essential. Experience of working within the school setting, supporting children’s learning across a variety of age groups is essential.

Whilst applications will be welcomed from all appropriately qualified people, this post will be particularly attractive to new and recent graduates who intend to undertake teacher training in the future.
