Year 4
Welcome to Year 4.
Our staff in Year 4 are:
Mrs Wright, Miss Preston, Miss Crompton and Miss Reid.
Some useful information:
Homework in Year 4 consists of Reading Plus, home reading, weekly times tables and spellings and Doodle Maths/Doodle Tables.
The children are tested on their tables and spellings each Monday morning.
Our PE days are Tuesday and Thursday and children should come to school in their P.E kits on those days.
Reading books should be brought into school on a Friday and will be changed and returned on a Monday.
In Year 4, all children should aim to complete 3 lessons per week on Reading Plus and should aim to be in the ‘green zone’ on Doodle.
Please remember at the end of Year 4 children will have a times table test and are required to know all their times tables and corresponding division facts up to 12×12. Please ensure your child is practicing theirs every week.

Spellings will be sent home each Monday and will be based on the spelling rule taught and commonly misspelled words.
