Year 2
Our staff in Year 2 are:
Mrs. Deeny (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) & Mr. Hathaway (Monday) – Class 5
Miss Connolly – Class 6
Mrs. Crennell, Key Stage 1 Learning Support Assistant
PE days for Year 2 children are every Monday and Thursday. Children should come to school in their PE kits and trainers on these days.
Homework
Home Reading
Home reading books will be given out on Monday. Please make sure your child returns their book to the box in their classroom every Friday.
We encourage you to hear your child read regularly at home. Please remember to sign their reading record book each time, so we know when their book is ready to be changed.
Common Exception Words
Please also practise the Common Exception Words that have been sent home with your child. Regular practice will help the children to recognise and spell these words confidently.
Times Tables
The children will be tested on their 2, 5 and 10 times tables. Please practise these regularly at home.
