Much Woolton Catholic Primary School is a highly inclusive school. Our staff work hard to ensure that all children, including those with special needs and disabilities as well as the most able, have their needs met through high quality teaching, effective interventions and targeted support. Below is the information we are required to publish regarding how we approach this area of our school.

Liverpool’s SEND Graduated Approach pilot scheme

Our school has elected to take part in the SEND Graduated Approach Toolkit pilot scheme. This initiative aims to enhance the support we provide for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring that all pupils receive the best possible opportunities to thrive.

Liverpool ASD Training Team

To book your place, please email asdtrainingteam@liverpool.gov.uk with a choice of your course/date and you will be emailed confirmation and a zoom link (online courses).

 

Social Communication and Social Behaviour workshop

13th and 14th January (2 sessions) at 9:30-12pm

Venue: Virtual – zoom

These sessions are for parents who have early concerns about social communication and social interaction or whose child is awaiting assessment for the ASD pathway. You must attend both sessions. 

 

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) course

15th, 16th and 17th January (3 sessions) at 9:30-12pm

Venue: Virtual – zoom

The course will allow you to build your knowledge on autism and meet / share information with other parents. Your child must have a diagnosis of ASD and you must attend all 3 sessions.

 

Virtual group drop-in advisory sessions

14th, 15th, 23rd, 24th, 27th and 28th January at 1pm-2:30pm

Venue: Virtual – zoom

Theses sessions are for parents/carers wishing to talk in a group setting and who have questions or concerns about their child. A diagnosis of ASD is not required.
